The Journal of Peptide Science is a cooperative venture between John Wiley & Sons, Ltd and the European Peptide Society, created to advance international peptide science through the publication of original research findings and review content. The journal publishes a broad range of article types, including Research Articles, Rapid Communications, Reviews, Protocols, Historical Essays, and Highlights.

Its scope covers the full spectrum of peptide chemistry and biology. This includes the isolation, characterization, synthesis, properties, and applications of natural peptides, as well as studies involving peptide analogues, peptidomimetics, peptide antibiotics, and other peptide-derived complex natural products. The journal also features work in peptide and peptide-related drug design and development, peptide materials and nanomaterials science, combinatorial peptide research, the chemical synthesis of proteins, and methodological advances across these fields.

The breadth of the journal’s scientific interest is also reflected in the published proceedings from the regular international symposia of the European, American, Japanese, Australian, Chinese, and Indian Peptide Societies.

In addition to its core journal content, the Journal of Peptide Science publishes the bi-annual EPS Newsletter and supports the EPS Website, further strengthening its role as a central resource for the global peptide research community.
